Dr. Rick Marlin is a Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years experience treating chronic disability problems such as various chronic pain syndromes, chronic fatigue syndromes, fibromyalgia, mood disorders, anxiety disorders as well as complex comorbidities.
Dr. Marlin obtained his Ph.D. in Psychology from McMaster University. He then joined the Behavioural Medicine Unit of St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton. Dr. Marlin taught for the Psychology Department of McMaster University, in Hamilton Ontario, Canada from 1979 until 1994. Dr. Marlin is licensed as a Psychologist in Alberta, British Columbia, Nova Scotia and Ontario. He is listed with the Canadian Register of Health Care Providers in Psychology. Dr. Marlin’s publications include studies of the treatment of various chronic disabilities including Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Chronic Pain, and Headache as well as Biofeedback and Visceral Learning. Dr. Marlin is a member of the Canadian Academy of Pain Management, the Canadian Pain Society, the International Association for the Study of Pain, and the Society of Behavioral Medicine.
Dr. Marlin is currently the director of Odyssey Health Services. At Odyssey Health Services Dr. Marlin and his colleagues provide interdisciplinary assessment and treatment services as well as psychological assessment for both employers and disability insurers seeking to return these individuals to productive gainful employment. Dr. Marlin has been the consulting psychologist for J Marlin and Associates Inc. since its inception and provides training, supervision and clinical services.
