I am a Functional Rehabilitation Intern completing my practicum in Masters of Arts in Counselling in Psychology at Yorkville University. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Simon Fraser University. I have been a Behavioural Therapist at Odyssey Health Services for about 6 years. I have had training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Behavioural Activation (BA), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR).
I have had extensive training and experience working with individuals who are currently off work due to chronic pain, fibromyalgia, depression, anxiety, and other somatic and mental health difficulties. I have had the experience to work as part of an interdisciplinary team. My role as a Functional Rehabilitation Intern is to help the clients re-build a life that is meaningful to them and help them return to gainful employment. I believe that by leading a meaningful life, it is the ultimate way to empower yourself.
In my spare time, I enjoy attending boot-camp classes, running, or playing with my baby.
