I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and have experience in both adult and children’s mental health. I completed a B.Sc in Exercise Science from Chatham University, followed by a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.
Joining the team of J Marlin and Associates Inc. was a career change for me. Previously, I spent over 30 years coaching hockey and providing skating and skill development for hockey players. I coached players from the beginning stages of hockey all the way through to the professional ranks. It was through coaching that I recognized a desire to help people, not just in sport but in other areas of life as well.
I have education and experience using a variety of 3rd generation cognitive behavioural therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Behavioural Activation (BA), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Behavioural Therapy (BT).
In my spare time I enjoy hockey, playing baseball, watching movies, camping and hanging out with friends.
